Who we are

SBIN (trading as Stroud Business & Innovation Network) is a community platform for businesses and professionals based in and around Stroud, Gloucestershire. The platform is operated by SBIN. Contact us at info@sbin.co.uk.

Your account

• —You must be 18 or over to create an account.
• —You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• —One account per person - do not share accounts or create duplicates.
• —The information you provide during signup must be accurate and kept up to date.
• —You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account.

Membership and payments

SBIN offers a free membership tier and an Annual Membership (currently £50/year). Prices are in GBP and inclusive of any applicable taxes.

Annual Membership renews automatically each year. You can cancel at any time from your account - cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period and you will not be charged again.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us within 30 days and we will investigate.

Acceptable use

SBIN is a professional community. You agree not to:

• ×Post content that is unlawful, abusive, defamatory, discriminatory or harassing.
• ×Spam other members through the connections, collaboration board, or any other feature.
• ×Impersonate another person or business, or misrepresent your affiliation.
• ×Use the platform to promote pyramid schemes, MLM, or unsolicited commercial offers.
• ×Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from the platform.
• ×Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or other members' accounts.
• ×Post content that infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party.

Your content

You own the content you post - your profile, collaboration board posts, event notes, and any other material you submit. By posting it you grant SBIN a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and distribute that content within the platform for the purpose of operating the service.

We will never sell your content or use it for advertising without your explicit permission.

Events

When you register for a paid event, payment is taken at the time of registration. Refunds are available if you cancel at least 48 hours before the event start time. Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable unless the event itself is cancelled or significantly changed by us.

If we cancel an event, you will receive a full refund within 10 business days.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time by contacting us at info@sbin.co.uk. On deletion, your profile will be removed from public view and your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the breach. If you believe a termination decision was made in error, contact us.

Limitation of liability

SBIN is provided in good faith but on an “as is” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access and accept no liability for loss of data, revenue, or opportunity arising from use of or inability to use the platform.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date above and, for material changes, notify members by email. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
